Dear CUSD Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year!

As we begin this new year together, I am incredibly honored and excited to serve as Superintendent of Calaveras Unified School District. This role is deeply personal to me. As a lifelong member of this community, a proud CUSD graduate, parent, teacher, and administrator, I understand the important role our schools play in shaping the future of our students and our community.

This school year represents a new chapter for CUSD — one built on collaboration, positivity, accountability, and a shared commitment to doing great things together for kids. Our students deserve schools where they feel safe, supported, challenged, and inspired every single day, and that will continue to be at the center of every decision we make.

At CUSD, we believe in the power of strong relationships between schools, families, staff, and the community. When we work together with a shared purpose, incredible things happen for students. I am committed to listening, learning, and working alongside all of our educational partners as we continue building a district our entire community can be proud of.

This year, our focus will remain on:
• Supporting student achievement and growth
• Creating positive and engaging school environments
• Strengthening communication and partnerships with families
• Preparing students for success in college, career, and life
• Continuing to move CUSD forward with purpose

Our students are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we have the opportunity to build on the strengths of our district, support one another, and continue creating schools and opportunities that make our entire community proud.
