To CUSD Staff and Families,
A Christmas to Remember is an annual community effort to solicit donations that go directly to purchasing new clothing for identified students in the Calaveras Unified School District.
The two-day donation drive to solicit funds for A Christmas to Remember will take place Wednesday, December 4th and Thursday, December 5th.
Locations are Mar-Val and Senders (Valley Springs), Treats Store (San Andreas), the Intersection of Hwy 26 and 49 (Moke Hill) and the West Point location is TBD.
Times at each donation location are usually between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM (may vary site by site).
Donation booths will be manned by members of local Lions Clubs and Rotary Clubs.
All funds are used to provide up to $150 per student in new clothing for up to 100 to 150 CUSD students (dependent upon level of donations, students as identified by each school site based upon the numbers allocated). Site administration will need to work with staff to create their lists of potential students. Actual numbers we can serve/support will be determined after the donation days.
We hope you will consider contributing to the cause in any way possible, when the time arises. All efforts and donations make a significant difference for the chosen students.
Donations may also be mailed to CUSD, PO Box 788, San Andreas, 95249 or dropped off at the District Office located at 3304 Hwy 12, Valley Springs. Please make checks payable to “A Christmas to Remember.”
Sincerely,
